Seven Fields for Your Ginger Powder RFQ
- Ingredient and grade: ginger powder, conventional or certified organic, and any origin preference.

If a specification is still undecided, describe the intended use and ask the supplier to propose a grade. Confirm the final specification against the selected sample and batch documentation.
Specification and Quality Review
Request the current specification sheet and a representative Certificate of Analysis (COA) for the proposed grade. A specification states acceptance limits; a batch COA reports the results for an identified lot. Confirm which tests are included and which require additional testing.
- Physical and sensory: mesh or particle-size distribution, moisture, color, aroma and pungency. State the required sieve pass rate where applicable.
- Composition: volatile oil, gingerol, ash or other markers required by your application, with the measurement basis and method.
- Microbiology and contaminants: the tests and limits required by your quality team and destination market, including pesticide residues where relevant.
- Traceability and certification: batch identity, origin, processing information and product-specific certificates, if required.
Acceptance limits should be agreed for the product and destination market. Do not treat a generic supplier range as a legal limit or evidence that every lot meets your purchasing specification.

Agree the sample quantity and any preparation or shipping fees before dispatch. Record the lot number and test the sample in your actual formula. For beverages, assess dispersion, sediment and mouthfeel; finer milling alone does not establish that ginger powder is water-soluble.
Share your evaluation results and approval criteria before a bulk order. Confirm how the approved sample relates to the supplied production lot.
Packing, Delivery and Quotation
Ask the supplier to confirm MOQ, available pack sizes, liner material, storage conditions and lead time for the selected grade and order quantity. Confirm pallet and shipment requirements separately; container capacity depends on the packing and load configuration.
Include the destination and preferred Incoterms so quotations can be compared on the same basis. Identify any required product, facility or export documents and confirm their applicability before ordering.
