Vaccinium myrtilus L. is a deciduous shrub of the genus Vaccinium in the family rhododendron. Berries blue-black, glaucous; flowering in June and fruiting in September. Blueberry fruit contains up to 12% tannin, anthocyanin, organic acids, pectin, vitamin B, carotene and so on.
